Week 8

Feb 15: Everett's second year doing the kid's version of Book Across the Bay

Feb 16: He'll be here before we know it.  Decided to get some essentials like new nuks, a coming home outfit, and a box of size one diapers.  (We CD during the day but not at night.)

Feb 17: Took my big boy on a trip to Duluth in a blizzard.  We saw a house for sale, went to the mall, Target, and saw the Lego Movie.  Nice date for just us since I won't be able to do that for a long time coming.

Feb 18: It got warm!!!  And I managed to chip all the snow and ice off our sidewalk!

Feb 19: Callum brought me upstairs and showed me this awesome creation he'd made.  :)

Feb 20: A friend shared a link for Star Wars printables and I was super impressed with Everett's ability to do some simple math.  He loves them!

Feb 21:  We got a doozy of a storm and Brian's office was closed (even though he already had the day off for birkie prep).  There was no way to drive anywhere because our alley was under a fresh foot of snow, so we hooked up the ski chariot and went for a walk around town.  The boys loved it!

Week 7

Feb 8: Last week was long and hard so mama got Saturday morning to herself to go to the coffee shop and read a book.

Feb 9 : Finding alphabet pebbles in shaving cream.  Callum was not a fan of getting his hands dirty and ended up only using a spoon. Everett, on the other hand....

Feb 10: Making bird feeders at the visitor center after watching a bird episode of Wild Kratts

Feb 11: We went to a band concert for kids.  They even supplied milk and cookies!

Feb 12: 31 and a half week belly

Feb 13: Valentine's Day treats!  Everett had more patience for the project than Callum

Feb 14: Happy Valentine's Day!  Daddy finally made it home after being gone since 5 am on Tuesday morning.

20 Questions with my (almost) 3 year old

Me: Can I ask you some questions?

Callum: I pwayin a game right now.

Me: Ok, can I ask you some questions when you’re done?

Callum: Yeah.  (a few minutes later) Hey mommy.  You can ask me da questions now.  I don’t haffta go potty.

1. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Shovel

2. What is your favorite book? Mighty Machines.  Me: You have a Mighty Machines book?  C: We got a tractor book.  We got doonight doonight struction site.  It got tractors in it.

3. What is your favorite fruit? Beggies.  My favwit fwoot is ummm… gwapes.

4. What is your favorite toy? Twactoh.  My favwit toy is a twactoh. (tractor)

5. What did you dream about? Potty.  Umm  Cayits (carrots).  But it’s not fwushed now.  It’s not in da potty.  Cayits don’t go in potties.  I just dwopped one into a potty.  And then it got fwushed.  (we accidently dropped a bit of carrot into the toilet yesterday.)

6. What is your favorite animal? A doowaff (giraffe)

7. What is your favorite color? Gween

8. What is your favorite song? I wike to hing (sing) fwozen.

9. What is your favorite food? Gwapes

10. What did you do today? Shovel

11. What are you really good at doing? Pwayin in da snow.

Week 6

Feb 1 - I stole this picture from a friend who went skiing with Brian and Ev on Saturday.  Look at this daredevil....he's on his third year of skiing.

Feb 2 - since he spent all day Saturday skiing, I took him on a lunch date with me on Sunday

Feb 5 - Science!

Feb 6 - 30 weeks and change

Feb 7 - It has been a tough week with this almost three year old.  Today, he's not napping and we gave up and turned on tv.
