Lachlan's 4 month check-up

I have a lot to blog and I keep forgetting to do it!

Lachlan had his 4 month check up on Friday morning before we headed down to the cities for a Twins game.  Besides the doctor taking FOREVER and the whole family being there because we wanted to meet this doctor and such.....it went fine.

My scrawny guy is 13 lbs, 9 oz (compare this to 15lb Everett and 15 lb 12 oz Callum at that age.) BUT he is 26.9" long (Everett was 25.75" and I apparently didn't record Callum's height).  So yeah.  Tallll and skinny.  These put him around the 25th for weight and 95th for height.

He also started rolling this week.  Only a couple times so far and only belly to back, but he's a strong little dude and I'm sure he'll figure it out soon enough.  No teeth yet, still nursing like a snacking machine (every two hours for five minutes), including through the night.
He laughs and smiles at his brothers almost every time he sees them (except when they're trying to lie on him or poke his eyes) and generally brightens everyone's day.
We are doing the same immunization thing we did with Callum and delaying Hep B, because 1. I think it's silly for a baby to get a Hep B vaccine anyway and 2. I don't want him getting poked 3 times every appointment at this age.

Today, he is sleeping and eating allll day so I'm guessing we're in for a growth spurt soon.  Maybe he'll put on some weight and try to catch up to his brothers.  :)

Week 33

Aug 13: What I look like after taking three kids to the DMV to take a written test to get my MN driver's license.  OMG.

Aug 14: Everett got to go to a Twins game with daddy!

Aug 14/15: While the little guys and I had dinner and played at the hotel.

Stitch Fix

So I decided to give this whole Stitch Fix thing a go.  Haven't heard of it?  You fill out a bunch of survey questions, make a board on pinterest, explain your fashion needs, etc. and a stylist picks out several items for you to try on.  You pay $20 styling fee and then if you choose to keep any of the items, that $20 is applied to the cost.  If you choose to keep nothing, bye bye $20.  Now, I am an extreme thrift shopping, clearance rack scouring, cheapskate, so the prices of these items makes me gasp a little, but I figured maybe I would find something totally awesome and it would be worth spending $40 or $50.
Today (a month after filling out the survey), my stitch fix arrived.  I wasn't blown away by the selections.  Almost everything is jewel-toned and I am very much a neutral/natural tone person.  Here's what arrived:

Okay, so this might be my favorite.  I had a black tank under it so you can't see the lines as well, but it fits nicely and tapers down in the front.  It's cozy, warm, and navy blue.  Miiiight be a keeper

So first of all, it's mid August in Minnesota, sooooo this won't exactly work for me.  It's totally not a good color on me, meant for someone with boobs, and looks kind of matronly to me.  Definite no, right?

Porter Basic Legging by Rune

When I saw they'd included leggings, I thought, "really??? leggings?  I have tons of yoga pants and I'm trying to move beyond this."  But these leggings are nice.  They are thick and warm and long, and I kind of didn't want to take them off.  They might be staying....they'd also be great layering for cool weather.

Again, jewel tones.  I would never ever pick this out at a store.  It's so bright, my eyes hurt.  But it is suuuuuper comfy.  I'm torn on this.

I keep changing my mind on this one.  When I first pulled it out, I hated it.  Then I tried it on and it was cozy and I liked it.  But then it's wide and I feel like it looks like a maternity shirt.  But then it's long and I love long shirts.  But but but....

Also, my stylist apparently did not pick out this shirt, at least initially.  In my note, it says she picked the Rosenberg Cross-Front Top.  I googled that top and didn't really care for it so I guess it's better that this arrived.

And that's it.  So I have three days to decide what to keep and what to send back.  Opinions?
