I am attempting to be awesomely technologically savvy right now, so bear with me...
I tried to use two electronic devices at the same time - my doppler and my new sansa (thanks uncle Bill!) to record little one's heartbeat. It's not very clear (someone was hiding) and at the end it gets mixed in with my heartbeat, but if this works I will still be endlessly proud of myself. :)

Brian's off to MN [11w4d]
Brian left for MN this morning and I had my first day of riding my bike to work. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but it was starting to drizzle as I rode home and started pouring about a half hour after I locked myself in the house. At least I'm finally getting some exercise in my daily routine! And after I saw the $53 mark on the gas pump yesterday, I might be riding my bike a bit more! (As long as my balance doesn't become an issue of course!) I had to go to Sam's Club this afternoon with a co-worker to pick up a bunch of pop for work, and I am so glad she came. There is no way I could have pushed the equivalent of two carts of pop around the store and to the car. Sad part of the story though: after eating my lunchable at work, I decided I was hungry again an hour later and bought a giant hot dog from Sam's. Well, I'm not the greatest at planning and couldn't manage to push the cart full of pop, my lemonade, and an open hotdog all while maneuvering through the parking lot and my hot dog fell on my leg!!! And of course, it was covered in ketchup, mustard, and relish. Happily though, I took my co-worker's suggestion and brought it back in and they gave me another one for free! Helped my hungry belly, but not my mustardy pants...

Happy Early Mother's Day [10w5d]
I know Mother's Day isn't until Sunday, but we're heading out to Ohio tonight and the cards could possibly arrive today! Morning sickness is still gone for the moment and I've stopped taking my B6! Yay! I swear though, if it comes back, I am just going to be so annoyed!! Anyway! For the grandmas-to-be reading this, happy mother's day! I hope you like your present! We love you!

Allergies? Seriously? [10w3d]
I was hoping that maybe Indiana would be nice to me, but alas! I was wrong. In addition to the stuffiness caused by snowpea's presence, I now have the congestion, sneezing, and itchy eyes from allergies. I just can't win! Morning sickness goes away (mostly) and now I'm all sneezy. Geesh. I tried taking a benadryl this morning because we had some and they are on my "safe list" but now I am nearly falling asleep at my desk. I guess I might need to run out to Wal-Mart and pick up some Claritin soon (also on my safe list). I just hope I can stay awake and form coherent sentences in a bit when I have to give a 10 minute presentation on Moodle....
So far, so good on the morning sickness front. I've stopped taking my evening half pill of B6 and am still feeling good. I'm still taking my morning dose because I really don't want to feel icky at work. I just hope the nausea doesn't return anytime soon....like on my flight later this month. I'm paranoid enough as is about flying alone! Oh well, that's really all I had to say. Just whining about my allergies. Oh, and the mother's day cards went out today!!!

Graduation [10w1d]
Our amazing little kumquat made it to fetus this week! Yay for baby! And things have been going well. Morning sickness has been tapering off (except for this weekend, when I felt like poop for some reason). Also, my exhaustion has returned, to which I say, "what the heck?!" I thought this whole being so tired, I'm barely alive thing was supposed to get better, not relapse! Anyway! I'm not really complaining.
The job interview on Friday was terrifying! There were 6 people there interviewing me! Craziness. I should find out late this week or next week about any prospects. I really don't know what I'll do if they offer me a job...
Since there haven't been any dr. appts and such, there really isn't much news to tell. I thought for a while about renting a doppler just so I could listen to snowpea's heart beat whenever I wanted, but I'm not sure the $20/month is necessary.
We're telling our parents this week! Scary and exciting! It's been our little secret for so long now, I'm not sure what to think. Brian wants to send out the mother's day cards tomorrow, but I think election day will take up all my energy and focus! So, they'll probably go out in the mail on Wednesday.
Here's another belly pic. Taken today at 10 weeks, 1 day. Brian thinks I look "thicker." Thanks babe, thanks.
