Yawn! [17w4d]

Doctor's appointment today was same ol', same ol'. Blood pressure's fine, baby heartrate is at 159, etc. The cool thing was, when she was listening to the heartbeat, she pointed out to me that another sound was snowpea moving around! I still don't notice any movement, but apparently there's a party going on in my uterus. It will be pretty exciting when I feel, and know for sure that it is, snowpea moving/kicking/punching.
I've gained about a pound since my appointment last month, so I think I am now officially a healthy BMI. Ha.
Ultrasound is in three weeks and then we meet with dr. again 11 days after that to discuss what the ultrasound shows.
I'm also going to send back my rented doppler next week before I get charged for another month. The novelty has kind of worn off now.
Anyway! That's all for now!

A belly? [17w3d]

Holy cow, I'm not so skinny anymore. Or as I am told, I am beginning to look like a "normal girl" now. Thanks. :)
The world of facebook now knows about snowpea thanks to a profile picture update. Including the friends in Korea and Japan! Gotta love the internet!
I finally tried out that darn prenatal yoga DVD today, mostly because I was so ticked off at the mailman for stuffing our box to the point of jamming it, I was ready to destroy someone/thing. It wasn't so bad. Strangely, I do have to use the modified poses that they show for 2nd Tri....but I guess that's only strange to me.

Dr's appointment tomorrow after work, so I'll try to update again then.
Snowpea and my favorite new things: icees, fruitista freezes, fruit popsicles, peaches, and blueberries! Yum! Maybe I should buy some of that V-8 Frusion stuff and try to get some serving of vegetables in me....

Here's the required belly shot from last night - 17w2d:
And one with me actually wearing my clothes and having a head:

I hate my belly button [16w4]

I seriously used to have a cute belly button (if there is such a thing). No more! This thing is ridiculous! While I've read that belly buttons can pop out like a thanksgiving turkey thermometer, it's not supposed to happen until much much later. Well, my formerly normal bellybutton has now decided that it is a half-innie, half-outie. AND, it's super sensitive! Oh well, what can you do?
Here is a picture of the cards little snowpea has received so far (or we received that mention snowpea). Yes, one of them is actually a father's day card for Brian. Hayley, you're a doll!

And of course, since you have been so deprived for so long, here is the newest belly shot. You still can't tell anything with clothes on (unless I'm feeling particularly bloated, that is), but there is definitely something there that wasn't there before.

Everyone at my office now knows the news, and it's been nice reactions all the way around. Now I even have an excuse to not have to push around the gigantic cart full of pop at Sam's club. Mwa ha ha!

Our next doctor's appointment is in one week and the big ultrasound is coming up in four weeks!!!

All in all, I've been feeling pretty good. Although a walk in the sun to the park pretty much wiped me out yesterday. Probably a half mile each way and I was nearly falling asleep walking on the way back. Brian was not impressed. :) I've still been grazing all day long while I'm at work, and usually by the time Bri's back from his exercising at around 7-8 pm daily, I am no longer hungry and throw a fit at him. Oops. We need to figure out a better dinner time that works for both of us.
That's all for now. Will write again at least next week.

Finally another pic [15w0d]

Yeah, yeah, it's been a while. So sue me! Here's a picture from 15w0d:Nothing new in the world of baby news except that we got a totally awesome card from my friend, Mel. So cute! Very crafty, scrapbooky, and just generally adorable. Thanks Melonious!!!
Oh yeah, and we did finally make it to the mall yesterday (my payback for standing in the rain at Bri' triathlon) and bought two cute maternity shirts! (I'd rather have them before I need them than all of a sudden have nothing to wear....)

Met the Dr. [13w4d]

After waiting 45 minutes for the dr. to get to us (apparently she fell way behind today), we finally met the OB. She seems very nice and talkative, so I like her. Brian was a little perturbed that there are 5 Drs. in the clinic and if you don't have a baby during business hours or your dr. is not the one on call, someone else will be at the delivery. It actually doesn't seem like such a big deal to me, but I still hope we end up with the dr. we got to know.
Everything went well. I now know my blood type, am not anemic, have no STDs, and still good blood pressure. Snowpea's heartbeat was loud and clear at 160 bpm. We scheduled another appt. with the dr. for four weeks from now and scheduled the ultrasound (the big important one!) for July 17! Yay! I'll be 20w4d and that baby had better cooperate!
Not much else to tell...apparently I'm just too normal to keep up an interesting blog. :)
